Ok, the FPS rules are kinda out there at the time, but I will tell you the ones I am positive about.
AEG's: 350 FPS w/ .25's bb's
Bolt Action sniper weapons/ Semi only weapons: Completely up in the air, MAA sanctioned games about 350 w/ .25's for the time.
Any other questions ask.

We're currently working on FPS limits for sniper rifles. Our limits aren't set in stone YET, but the general consensus is above 350fps requires semi-auto only capability on the gun, with a max of 475 for semi-auto and 575 for bolt action.

350fps with .25s is about 380 with .2s, so you should be within MAA limits.

this is really dumb. if i buy an AK-47, it will be concidered a "sniper weapon" and you have to be 18 to use it and not have it be automatic. thats not fair at all for people who buy 175$ guns.

Holy Necroposting!!!!

This thread has been dead for nearly 6 years!!!

And no, your AK-47 wouldn't be considered a sniping weapon.

Anything under 400fps with a .2 BB will be fine. And there aren't many (if any) guns that you buy for $175 that will be over that. (Although some get close now. But those chill out a bit once the spring relaxes a bit.)

Um, why are you digging up a 6 year old thread?

And what AK are you talking about? :?

WTF? you can have an Automatic AK-47 in Airsoft here under the age of 18. MAA FPS limits are common sense, if you are starting out and buying an AK that goes over 400 fps to start you might want to re-think your investment, get something more as a starter weapon.

And most of all: don't necro post a post from 2002!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAA limits, Indoors: 350 fps with .2s Outdoors 400 fps with .2s

Welcome to the MAA boards - I caution you that you are not off to a good start.

I strongly encourage you to do some more effective searches and read the ENTIRE Newbie/FAQ forum before posting further.
