As it says, where do you want to put Avatars?

Looks like a strong showing of people who want to revert to the old layout. Just giving this a last bump to get new votes in before starting to look into changes.

FYI, it may take a while to implement any changes that are made.

Its rather unfortunate that this type of software wouldn't allow for users to select their preferred layout.....
maybe in version 4

We do have the option to give users the option to choose which layout they wish to use. So maybe we can find two similar layouts. One with the avatars on the right and one with them on the left. To make both parties happy.

What? That would just make it confusing...

I think that means users can choose how it displays for them, not where their's displays for everyone else....

Correct. It just means people can pick which side the view the avatars on. not what side it will apear on.

Oh for some reason I thought it meant for like the first post, the avatar would be on the left, second on the right, third on the left, and so on and so forth.

My mistake.

I think it was Digital who said it looked better with the Avatars on the right and I didn't agree at the time but now that I'm used to it I love how it is now. (geez, run on sentence much?)

Run-on sentences are the best because if they are good they are like a fun ride thant never ends and it also saves a lot on punctuation also they are good for when you like to type a lot of words and just let them spill onto the page they way they were though up and if they are a bad sentence they get to be kind of funny after a while which is what I hoped this to be.

Phew...

Personally I like the avatars on the left, since all the other forums I visit have them on the left. It is a little akward trying to read this forum after visiting others. I think it would rock to have the individual choice between an avatar-left or avatar-right layout.
Gotta get back in the game.

Not to be a thorn in anyone's side, but I don't get it. We had the vote and a strong majority for putting the avatars back on the left, but it's been a couple weeks and haven't heard anything new. Are we still going to change it?

I just preferred the looks of it on the left. My eyes are used to skipping that half of the screen to get to reading the post. Doesn't really make that big of a deal though.

I'm kind of coming around the right side. A lot of other forums I go to have switched over to right side avatars, too.

I still prefer them on the left, as I voted.
