There is the Mark Forums Read button in the upper right, just below the logout button, if you want to use that.

I really like the new color scheme. White on black can really is easier on your eyes once you get used to it. As your eyes see white as color and black as the lack of color; with white text you are actually seeing the text, where as with black texts what you are seeing is the "shadow" left by the text on the white page (or screen). The high contrast of full black and white though can make it hard for some people to read, and I've read can apparently cause problems for dyslexics.

Me too, which leads me to believe it isn't actually a problem, just changed functionality. I actually kind of like it; sometimes I've accidentally closed my "View new posts" window, and if it's the only tab/window I had open, all the posts I had left to view are gone. With this new behavior, it seems there's some sort of time delay before it removes them from their "new" status.

You know, you people play airsoft, you SUPPOSED to be into extreme things. The background is great in my not so humble opinion, and I will be using it on all the phpBB boards I run as soon as I upgrade them.

As far as a reputation system you said
Wolfwood wrote: It also tends to become more of a popularity vote as opposed to a real reputation rating.
Yeah I think you make a good point but for people who don't regularly visit I think it would help, but your other idea
Wolfwood wrote: What we will likely be implementing is a better way of tracking buyers and sellers. I would like to iron out the basics first before putting that into place.
I like this idea, you could use a modified repuatation system to do this

Besides changing any messages in the whole mod. The form titles for everything also would be changed.
Only allow posts in the sales section to be 'repped'
Each 'rep' would be a successful purchase from that user
And another reputatuion system for buyers
So each profile has 2 ratings for buying+ selling
And when you +buy them or -buy them you have to leave a comment of what you bought, and if they were a good seller. And your History of comments would be public.

However everything would have to be monitored to prevent abuse...

Whatever you have in mind sounds good though!

I just noticed one thing when editing my profile. In the website it required the full Http and all that, is it possible to not have that? jw

Also what happens if someone was born in 1907?

Good job with the site, getting to like the overall layout, couple things here and there but they'll grow on me.

If there is anyone here who is 101 and still playing airsoft, I think the mods can afford to make a special category for him :D

I know I'd be impressed.
