Need ideas for a Vietnam style course Twin Cities Airsoft

Post by EZD » Tue Mar 25, 2014 9:36 am

Last year I went to a course in IN where a saw a hut village (Vietnam style) that was easy to build. I thought this would work great at my place on course #3.

What are somethings we should add other then the huts?? Pictures would be great.

Rice Paddy

Palm Trees

Downed Huey
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Not sure how we would put in rice paddy's or palm trees.

A down huey could be done.

A lot of huts could be done.

Tunnels ? There maybe away. I will keep that in mind while working on all the courses.

Bamboo maze could be done if I could find a lot of bamboo cheap.

Here is a picture of a huey I had made out of wood at Splat Tag in Hudson. I will see if I can afford to have another one made this Summer.

Rice paddies shouldn't be hard at all. Just make low berms in a grid pattern to delineate separate paddies. The tricky part would be keeping the grass right to make 'rice'.

I'll echo Cobra's comment. Sandbag bunkers, 50 gallon drums strewn about randomly, and large piles of ammo crates.

I think rescue of an injured jet pilot would be fun. Really have to carry and drag him to the Huey. Maybe add some duct tape bandages and special field medical treatment. Special rules of engagement and fire so it doesn't end to quickly.

Humor.
Maybe you could borrow a neighbor's cow for the rice paddy. Possibly get a young guy to ride it wearing a coolie hat. haha That was my first "flying lesson" during frat 'hell week' at the University.

I don't know if bamboo will grow here. It does in some areas down South. Wild rice grows very well and would make a great side for a Thanksgiving weekend barbecue. It's fun harvesting too.

How about a POW rescue operation. A break out from the Hanoi Hilton.
If the glass is either half full or half empty, it is twice as large as it needs to be.

Why waste duct tape...just use the cheap terry cloth towels...
