New guns?

Post by thentantt » Sat Jan 28, 2012 3:01 am

So im starting to get into the Vietnam side of Airsoft and ive already got my first gun (G&P CAR15 OLD STYLE) and i want a side arm but im slightly confused on picking a sidearm im not looking for a pistol but a long range rifle either a SVD, G3, or a M24(was this gun even used then?) so which is best? SVD by A&K G3 by JG or the M25 by snow wolf?

A rifle is not a side arm.

Of the three rifles you listed only the SVD was used in 'Nam. The M40 was used, and is similar to the M24. The M14 was also used as a sniper rifle later in the war.

Unless you plan to field them with regular use, I would not buy them. They are an overpriced "shiney" that serves no practical use.
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Don't fear the gun...fear the one that's wielding it!

If you are going to go with any new airsoft gun for a Vietnam load out go with an M16A1 or M14. Unless you are going for a spacial impression.

^ what this kid says... Spend the money on a good, accurate impression, with one weapon, versus a shitty impression with two weapons.
So, as Woodstock rocked on and the boomers got all wild on their weed, the M16 continued to be, and continues to be, the military's weapon of choice - for some weird, unexplainable reason
