M14 pouches

Post by Chadwick » Thu Feb 21, 2008 9:23 pm

what was the "norm" for carrying M14 magazines during nam?
I have seen pictures of single magazine pouches, but it seems hard to believe that is all they had.
So, as Woodstock rocked on and the boomers got all wild on their weed, the M16 continued to be, and continues to be, the military's weapon of choice - for some weird, unexplainable reason

Via some Googling, I believe you're looking for the M-1956 ammo pouch.

Moore Militaria has 'Nam era M14 mag pouches. And pretty much everything else needed for 'Nam impressions.

Why would anyone in the "Vietnam Airsoft Re-Enactment Forum" be looking for modern M14 pouches?

I am starting to lean towards Vietnam era re-enacting, and the M14 was used in Vietnam, that is why, and what would really be the difference between modern and vintage/replica M14 pouches anyway?
