Not sure how close that is to Rochester. If I got a Vietnam gun when this was started I'd be interested. Currently I've got a g3, and aug.

Hope you good luck with your group, but are there any N.V.A. or V.C. groups?

you can buy the metal parts from tm that are the xm177 model and put them together and have one but it would cost more

WGC has a custom one for like $230 or something like that. Otherwise I have seen some use the m16.

they are G&P AEG's tweaked by WGC. I've heard good things about them.. another way to get a XM177 would to:

1. buy a m733
2. buy a metal a1 reciever
3. buy a XM177 flashhider..

Get some short mags and your good to go.

you are always getting something soon, why dont you actualy do it? IMHO, you might want to reconsider, an M14 might be a little to much gun for you.
So, as Woodstock rocked on and the boomers got all wild on their weed, the M16 continued to be, and continues to be, the military's weapon of choice - for some weird, unexplainable reason

its as big as you are! It would be hard to lug it around along time. Hell, my M16A2 can be a pain and Im 5'7 an M14 is even bigger.

It is lighter than any gun I have used.. And I mean it can't be much longer and heavier than my friends 4 foot long home made bazooka..

I can guarantee it is bigger than your spetznaz.

the question isnt so much as can I pick it up, but more, can i carry it for hours on end, as well as all the gear that goes with it. As cool as an M14 is, I dont see it being a very effective weapon for you. its length will make it dificult for someone your size to wield.

BUT, it is your decision, I would just advise against it.

I lug my G&G m14 around before it broke and it wasn't too bad. just gotta get used to it.. I also advise a high quality sling meant for m14's. They sell em in cheaper than dirt.

ok what we learned in the military when we first came in is the sling is used for two things for eating and for sometimes marching that is it when you are going to be shot at you dont use a sling you better have a weapon that feels like a part of you so before you bring it to a game lug it around the woods or do some road marches with it to build up an endurence then you will be good for the game

I dont suggest doing that unless you want to be shot by a P.O.

i am used to being in the military i didnt mean to go running up and down the streets but just get a feel for the rifle and make sure you can handle the weight of the gun before you decide to stick with it all day

I could do LRRP, I even have a buddy for tech. advice. He spent 3 years giving charlie fits. Also told me that they always had at least one guy carrying an M-14. The logic being, if you made enemy contact, the 14 on full auto sounds like an M-60. More than one platoon of NVA fled from a 4 man team for fear they had run into a larger force than themselves! I love it!

yeah they did use m14's. & they used m16's about as much as 177's.

I'm reading six silent men right now. its about LRRPs. This one guy in a LRRP squad had a sawed off m79 and a sawed off m14. he attached a m16 grip on it and sawed off the barrel to the gas tube. he used it to defend himself when they got too close for the m79 with great effectiveness according to the book. I know I wouldn't have been able to handle a full auto pistol grip m14. Those guys were studs.

$45

I like to order from U.S. retailers if possible since you can get about the same price or sometimes cheaper for products.
