Interest: OSS Training Camp?

Post by Erik » Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:12 pm

Think of it as Gunfighter, WW2 style.

Firearm techniques have evolved significantly since WW2. However, today's techniques were developed from tactics developed during WW2 by such luminaries as S.A. Sykes, W. E. Fairbairn, and "Wild Bill" Donovan of the Office of Strategic Services (the organization which would eventually become the CIA). During the war, Sykes, Fairbairn and Donovan's innovative techniques were taught to OSS agents, partisans, and Allied troops at "undisclosed locations" throughout the world.

This would be your chance to attend an OSS training camp. This would be a full-day immersion experience, with students and instructors in character, learning the same techniques from WW2 taught the same way they were taught during the war. Allied and Partisan impressions would be welcome. Training will include the rifle, pistol, and submachinegun (Period weapons only).

If you are interested, sound off. I'm looking to do this in the Summer of 2011.

This sounds cool, though I would have to go partisan unless you needed OpFor (I am unfamiliar with your Gunfighter program). Date would be my only concern since I attend a lot of events during the season. I will post this to the MOA forum.
