Complete Soviet WW2 uniform

Post by Capt. Kill » Thu Jan 24, 2008 10:18 pm

Hey guys. WW2 reenactment isn't my forte, but I stumbled on this site that may be useful to some of you. I'm not sure how accurate it is to the era, but it's worth a look.

That is far from a WWII uniform. It as actually an M-69 pattern uniform used from 1969-1988.
It would be much more fitting to call it an early Afghanistan conflict uniform.

You may want to check out Trident Military http://www.tridentmilitary.com/ or Front of Russia http://www.frontofrussia.com/

These sites were recommended by the commander of the 198th Rifle division, our soviet counterparts in the Midwest Ostfront Airsoft Association. http://www.ostfrontairsoft.com/

We have a fairly comprehensive list of vendors for WWII airsoft guns as well as WWII reenacting impressions.

Both http://www.tridentmilitary.com/ and http://www.frontofrussia.com/ are great sources for hard to find soviet uniforms and gear. Front has been slipping a little lately(sending modern boots in place of soviet) but for the most part is easy to work with and has good prices.

I just recently ordered from Trident and was very happy with the experience. He is a really nice, honest guy. The quality of the uniform I received is great too.

Be careful with Trident Military. Some of their stuff is fiction as well, as their whole Soviet Paratrooper thing (unless it has changed) was a work of art, but not history.

http://www.ostfront.com is another great site to consider.

Good to note. In general I stay away from camouflage items all together for my German and Soviet impressions. Camo is way overdone by reenactors.
