CONGRATULATIONS TO BATC CLASS 10-11

Post by Erik » Sun Oct 09, 2011 6:59 pm

This was an extremely challenging class with three recruits Dropping On Request (DOR) and one recycle. We're hoping they can come back for the next one.

Congrats to the graduates of BATC Class 10-11:

What an amazing coarse. The intensity of the training is what I imagined airsoft to be like. Its trained like its real and the field operations had myself, and the others on our toes. Nothing out there in the local airsoft games even compare to this. Loved It! Great job to the cadre. You put on a first class coarse

Extremely intensive training worth twice the price. Thank you to my fellow recruits for the help and encouragement. Thank you to the RSL for volunteering to put up with us and teaching us what you had learned during previous cycles. Thank you to the Cadre for your amazing knowledge and the willingness to pass it on to others. The standard you set is high but rewarding to achieve. Thank you to the OpFor for your time to "teach" us humility and near panic; it helped us to apply what we had learned.

To the other airsofters on this board. I cannot stress this enough, if you want to learn to play airsoft well, you need to attend this training - there is no substitute. Take the Challenge! Don't be intimidated, if I can pass this course at nearly 50 years old (I turn 50 in late November), anyone can if they ready themselves. So, set your determination, square away your gun and gear, and sign up for the next cycle of BATC.

BATC was well worth the time and money. Training with my fellow grads, learning from the past experiences of RSL DarkZero, The Cadre, OPFOR was amazing. Congrats to all us who made it. Congrats to Stealth_Recon and myself for being the first Father-Son group to attend, let alone pass BATC. I learned a lot. I took on, and did my best as Fire Team Bravo Leader to help those in my group to keep going, and to give it their all. To Dewk, way to go on moving faster than I've ever seen you move before. To Ground Robin, my fellow Fire Team Leader, and honor grad, great job. To our BATC 10-11 DORs and recycle recruits, you did your best, be proud and don't get down on yourself for not making it. Morrish, Gotchya, and RampRat, I hope you guys are ok. It was hard losing you guys to the heat, but you guys push yourselves as hard as any of us... There is always nxt year. Thank you to all us who attended, to us who graduated, and to RSL, Cadre and OPFOR for dealing with our stupidity and pushing us to succeed and learn.

This BATC class sure lived up to everything I have ever heard about it. Being prepared and bringing back up guns cannot be stressed enough. Even with having all the right gear that only gets you started. Physically the days were tough. I learned so much with all the classes and drills the Cadre put us through. Learning to work as a team or in smaller units was very helpful. BATC grads share a common training ground that can be used to be effective at larger games. Ground Robin was a great choice for the Honor Grad. He was my fire team leader and I felt very comfortable with him. Dark Zero (RSL) had a tough job. He did it well though. Commanding a bunch of BATC newbies takes a lot of patience. In the end on the final mission I could see his confidence in us as a whole group.

Thanks to my fellow BATC Alfa and Bravo squads. We pushed through this course with the help of each other. Only working together that was possible. Working tactically as a group and adjusting pace when others needed it kept us in tune with each other. I'm glad I know you all a little better. Dewk I was very proud of you for pushing yourself! I have a lot of respect for you.

Thank you to the OPFOR. I know that taking time away from your families to help us train can be tough. We appreciated it. Erik, Gabe and Tank.. Thank you for taking the time for BATC and the airsoft community.
The satety standards of the MAA are what I first noticed at an open session I attended a few years ago. I have always been impressed by that experience. Each of you is so knowledgeable and has so much expertise to share.

Congratulations, guys. You earned it.

Thanks to the Cadre, OPFOR, and RSL for the work you all did to put this on. BATC was a great experience (the first half anyway; I assume the second half was even better), and I hope to graduate in the next class.

Thank you Cadre, OpFor, Dark Zero, and all of the other recruits for making such an awesome experience possible. I am baffled by the amount of knowledge that I walked away with after the weekend.
