NEXT BATC

Post by Erik » Tue Aug 26, 2008 9:38 am

Despite our best attempts, we will be unable to run another BATC cycle in 2008.

The next BATC cycle is planned for the Spring of 2009. For those who want to attend, we hope to see you there!

Keep an eye our for some other training events over the Winter...

Maybe we can get guys who haven't gone in? I wanna go, don't make me have to arm wrestle you for the spot.

There is quite a few spots and usually 2 cycles a year. But, if you really want to get in, get payed up when the spring cycle is posted up ASAP. That is the only true way to make sure you will get into.

I don't think I have ever been to a class where it was completed full friday night during check-in.

The roster generally fills up very slowly; plenty of people say they will go, the just don't lay down the money and commit to it.

Slots always open up the week of as well.

If you want to go, and check the boards at least once a week, you can and will get in.

If it comes down to the wire, just prepare, pack up and head out Friday night. There WILL be someone canceling and you will get to attend.

I'm trying to get my new and regular guys to attend 2009 BATC. When we run our own games on a private land, we got a lot of "rambo" type that don't listen to orders or don't know what to really do in a tight situation. I think it be nice to get my guys involved and learn some new tactics that will benefit each of us or our group. When will the dates, cost and location be?

hello, i am looking forward to BATC greatly, but as of now i have no real experience with Airsoft. I am working with all due haste to better myself such that I might be able to attend, and i am wondering if games played at Airsoft battle-zone in Wisconsin would work for the required time played, also i am looking for information on tactics and drills such that i might better myself in the off season.
thank you.

On it's own, no. If your field experience can be vouched for by a MAA Member or BATC Graduate that would factor into the decision but all in all we like to actually "know" the player and have confirmed visual proof of his participation in Airsoft games and basic skill level.

BATC is a fantastic and unique program and we highly encourage players of all skill levels to attend....but you need more than a rudimentary knowledge of your gear and how Airsoft is played. Rushing to take BATC is a mistake. As the program has advanced and improved, so have our standards grown. It's not that a player would not have fun and learn things even if they did not pass the course but it detracts from the over all class and can be a distraction from the other recruits. We're not unsympathetic that many players, especially new ones, want to take the course....but the ATAC Staff and CADRE have made this decision for the benefit of the program and the recruits.

thank you, and i do respect the integrity that you have for the program. My next question, would there be two such games before the next BATC cycle?

yes, I am hoping to attend, but I might be out of town. I also have the parents issue. I will have to explain to them and that kinda stuff. But if all go's according to plan I should very much like to go!

Hope to see you all there!
