I am interested...

Post by Jester83 » Wed Jan 03, 2007 8:58 am

Even though its 10 months off, I am interested in attending depending on my school schedule. More training and fundamentals are good to learn and apply to Airsoft. What is exactly covered in the classes?

Alot, movement, formations, hand signals, how to react to an ambush, how to do recon, how to move stealthily, not only at night, but during the day.

EXCELLENT Class. If you havn't taken it, take it. This class is one of a kind.

Yet again, I will not be able to attend this IF my plans stay on course.

With me joning up in the Air Force soon I would expect me to be at Basic around that time. Pending how things go for me I will PM you Erik.

The class goes over marksmanship...but I think you already have that down.

Gir pretty much covered it. Squad movement, communication, ambush, etc.
Gotta get back in the game.

When I attended BATC I was at the 11 year and change mark of my military career. I'm working on year 13 now and still going.

BATC provided me an opportunity to become familiar with AEG and airsoft fundamentals. While some things are very little if at all different, some things are quite different. BATC got me familiar with my weapon, gave me an opportunity to meet and chat with veteran airsoft players, go over airsoft game fundamentals and most importantly have a weekend full of airsoft goodness.

You'll glean very useful information about airsoft and your millitary background will only enhance your experience. Bottom line, if you're interested in making airsoft a hobby, you should go.

Where in MN is BATC? I would like be able to attend, but I have to see what my class schedule is going to be in the fall. Figure I would somewhat plan now for that weekend so I can attend.

The last one was in Ham Lake. I'm assuming they are going to have it out there again unless they change it. You'll like it, it's just like MCT without all the downtime and pointless yelling.

I wanted to do this with Alex when he did this in April, so hopefully I can still go to this one if can find someone to babysit, and bring along Mom, or at least Dad anyways.

Alex loved it. But I plan to work out before this because it sounds intense, and I'm far too lazy, and unskilled to do this as of now ha!

Erik puts up a registration post closer to the date with paypal information. I reccomend signing up as soon as you know you can go because it looks like slots will fill up quickly, and those who pay first get to go.

If you look up about 3 posts in the thread I have it. $40 for Ham Lake but they might start having them at a different field where the price would probably be different so I wouldn't know that. But you should go, Don't think you should go.. Go :P. It's so fun. From many people who have been to quite a few games (Around 30+) say it was in the top 5.
