OG Vest and Hydration Setup

Post by ty2610 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 10:02 pm

I'm looking for a vest(preferably Molle) that can also hold a backpack/hydration carrier. I am using it to house a 4500 psi 90cc tank and some other random things like maybe a grenade or speed loader. The reason I ask is that I see a lot of mini backpacks that have molle straps, but that looks extremely uncomfortable on the back. That huge backpack straps around the front also seems annoying. So my thought is that there has to been some kind of system that combines the strap of the hydration carrier into the vest so it is more comfortable. If this isn't possible, what is a comfortable set up that has a sleek backpack and vest. this is the kind of backpack im thinking of.

BTW people should give Foxairsoft a look. They were some quality gents at OP Northern Lights.

I put a hydration pack on my Molle Skeletal Rig for NL...worked fine...I don't see an issue with it with a back pack.
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Don't fear the gun...fear the one that's wielding it!

They make hydration packs, hydration carrier, and packs specifically designed to be attached to the back of a vest using the molle system. I would suggest looking at hydration carriers specifically.

I use this one; the 2.5L hydration bladder fits inside a pouch in the back of the rig:

As for your tank, I have a MOLLE tank pouch like this:

It mounts to the back of my chest rig and fits my 68ci/4500PSI tank with no problems. It will fit an 80ci tank with no problems so it should fit yours.

I've never had a problem with either.

Just a couple of ideas for you. I couldn't find a plain tan pouch, which is why I went with the ATACS AU color.

I'll go along with using the molle on the back of the vest, now I'm just looking for the right vest. Something that can let me put a lot of single stack pouches on the front. Let the searching commence.
