Helo kit and M Frames.

Post by Clipperz » Thu Jul 03, 2014 9:10 pm

After searching around on here for a bit and posting on the FB page with no responses, Are M frames with helo kits approved? Mine seal on my face, but I know on others they don't by leaving gaps on the bottom and/or sides. With such a iffy fit person to person I'm guessing they aren't, but I just wanted to check.

In regards to MAA events...If they have a strap that goes all the way around the head, are full seal, and have the correct ANSI rating, then they will probably work. I would suggest confirming with an admin at registration for MAA events to be 100% in the clear. Other events, locations, or organizations may be more (or less) lenient.

I have these and the "racing jackets" with the wind kit. Both are amazing and create a full seal. My racing jackets have some small vents on the outer portion of the lens to allow for air movement. You will still need a good anti-fog as well on the inner portion of the lens. But they are nice!
