Gear load out options (General & Mil-sim)

Post by SGrog » Wed Jan 22, 2014 5:06 pm

Hello all!

I am hoping to pickup Airsoft this spring, or summer here, and when funds become available start working on purchasing gear. The following may be a bit wordy so thanks for your patience in advance.

Two things I will have that I wont be upgrading likely are boots and goggles (well, need to invest in)
- Merril Moab Mid height in tan (hiking boots that have survived 8 weeks hiking around in deserts, swamps, and anything else you can think of)
-ESS Turbofans (do not have yet, but intend to get. Suggested by multiple people as they are fan driven and do not fog)

For Mil-sim, I know SEAL, Rangers, Force Recon, Delta and PJ's are popular Tier one renditions, but I was looking at doing something a little out of the box, namely a Load out reminiscent of USCG MSRT or MSST crews. Looking into it, I have only found one website listing things they would use: http://airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?t=37284
My rendition of what the link had is:
-Lancer MICH 2001 w/ Rails and Velcro (Tan)
-ESS Turbofan Goggles (Tan)
-Liberator Headset (OD, and preferably something that works well, but isnt quite as expensive)
-Radio - PTT
-3 Tone tan pants and shirt
-Equivalent to the MAR-CIRAS Plate carrier
-Light Sticks
-Various pouches
-M4 CQB w/ ANPEQ-2, and Vertical foregrip, and light.
-Either M9, or P250 Pistol.

They appear to have Blue Flight suits on, but I have also seen images of the three tone tan. The first image Ill put is a group of MSRT http://www.americanspecialops.com/image ... srt-hr.jpg And the second posted, is of a MSST team http://www.americanspecialops.com/image ... oto-hr.jpg

They appear to have the MAR-CIRAS Plate carrier on, and MICH 2001 helmets on. The helmets are relatively easy to find cheaper ones, but for the vest, what options in the airsoft work are relatable to the MAR-CIRAS?

For sake of argument, we can say that the load out will be in tan, as I am pretty sure that in most events, if I went with the Blue Coloration I may be on a team of One. Ha.

P.S. If anyone knows how to make the image smaller, that would be greatly appreciated, its a large image!

Mich 2001's with rails don't exist in the real world... I would go for a Ops-Core instead if you want the rails.

Okay, is it the MICH 2002 then maybe? Here is the picture I was referring to in the first post: Image

Of which there there be two for sale at the CON. Helmet that is...
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Don't fear the gun...fear the one that's wielding it!

Awesome! I am definitely looking forward to the Convention!

Also, @Fatal, thank you for the feed back! Ill be looking around for those pieces at the Convention, and elsewhere as well. Ill be working on fine tuning the load out, and adjusting pieces so that they look authentic, but are hopefully on the less expensive side.

Now I dont know if such a system exists in Airsoft, but the Revision Batlskin Cobra's are pretty awesome looking: http://www.revisionmilitary.com/product/batlskin-cobra/

Thanks again all!

There are replicas of just about everything listed above. After further examination on the plate carriers, it appears to be a custom Eagle DPC with more velcro on the chest. However, there are very close replicas of the vest pictured. It's similar to a 6094 by London Bridge trading, which has been knocked off by just about every company in the real steel and airsoft market. Some airsoft brands that are making them are, Flyye, Pantac, TMC, Toy Soldier, FMA, VGC and a few more.
