TOP M60 convervions

Post by signman » Wed Apr 18, 2012 10:17 am

Does anyone know how to do TOP M 60 conversions? I read where version 3 mech boxes have been used but no leads as to how that is done. Presently the problem is the feed gear does not rotate , the gun fires when a bb is rolled into the barrel . I have been advised to buy a new SAW but with over $1,100.oo in this gun I am up to the challenge of researching a solution.

the V3 into the AEG is an Internet Myth. Back in 2002, someone in California was suppose to have done it. But the mod was not easy nor practical, thus the lack of how-to-do being published.

Also many people converted over to a piston and cylinder system in an Ang's kit or a "PGC" type mechbox.
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Don't fear the gun...fear the one that's wielding it!

I did see one TOP M60 with a V3 gearbox on the East Coast, but I believe it involved fabricating a new receiver and building an external ammo box. I think the builder went by "Big Ed" on various forums.

appslapp over on Arnies also claims to have done this.
