I am willing to provide some good discounts to those that want some good gear like that.

But I still push for OD Vests as we all have them! But that is just MHO. But I am all over a SWAT Group training.

AWESOME PICS! A Team that looks good, obviously practices, and just looks like a team!

I would definitely be in.
I have my SWAT gear if I can use my Spets, although I may be getting a P90 very soon.

And therin lies the problem. It's difficult to standardize.

I'm almost done with my KSK Schwarz loadout. This is what it looks like:

Erik; about standardizing, is that for gear, or weapons, or both?

I could easily do this! GSG-9 has a similar loadout, just shift a few things around. I'd most DEFINETLY be into this if you want to do it! I got alot of SWAT style weapons (G36 series, Mp5a4, M1100 shotgun, Glocks).

I agree; if people have some gun that would be what a SWAT team would use and the gear i.e. helmet, vest, that that could work.

I would DEFINITELY be up for that. That is the type of stuff that introduced me to Airsoft, and I loved it! I would be willing to buy my equipment to suit as well. Just need time to spread it out over paychecks.

I have yet to purchase any items (see my Input Greatly Appreciated post on the gun discussion for reason).

I definitely want in! So far my only Airsoft experience has been active shooter, building searches, and other role playing exercises in SKILLS. Provided I get the proper equipment, can "Rudolph join the reindeer games?" Please?

Difficult but not impossible. Maybe a required gear list as DT has above?

I can't say I could go out and drop that kind of money in one shot, but if I had an idea of what gear is required, I could adjust my future shopping list.

GEAR LIST

SWAT STYLE VESTS
SWAT Vests typically has neck, throat, upper arm, and groin protectors. While some departments do wear military style CIRAS vests, they usually have alot more protection. Colors are dependent on the team. SPPD SWAT is wearing Digital woodland for uniforms and vest covers, MPD wears black and woodland, HCSO Wears Woodland. I tend to base my uniforms off LACOSD and Las Vegas SWAT. But I like OD the most followed by COYOTE. Below are some vest styles and their prices:

Point Blank SPIDER - $450 (Cover Only)
Condor Complete Outer Plate Carrier Vest - $150 (http://condoroutdoor.com/product.php?pi ... 8025e2a912)

UNIFORMS
ACU Cut Pattern is a must! But old school BDU's are OK. But everyone needs to be in the same!

1) OD
2) NAVY
3) BLACK
4) DIGITAL WOODLAND

WEAPON - SIDEARM
Most PD's today carry a Glock 40. So I try to carry what they carry. Now LAPD Carries KIMBER .45 for all Metro members. I am not really sure about Vegas. But I think they are glock as well. Use what you have! Do not spend a ton of money on your side arm.

WEAPON - PRIMARY
Most of the metro PD teams are using M4's or M16A3's. This is because they get them through the government surplus program. But some departments do have UMP's and MP5's. Eitherway, most people have a M4. They are rather inexpensive.

This is a start of a list for people to look at....it is still erik's group...so please go by what he says....but here are some options for you all....

The "digital woodland" is also NOT MARPAT, it is made by by 5.11 and is called the TDU (Tactical Dress Uniform). It is close to MARPAT, but noticeably different...just an FYI

Image

More tan is used on the digital woodland TDU. The Washington County SRT uses this uniform, and I believe the SPPD uses it as well, among many others. Also, regarding the sidearm of the LVMPD, the officer may choose from Glock variants, 1911 variants, Smith and Wesson M&P's, Berettas, Sigs, and XDs. A good friend of mine recently hit the strip and was allowed to purchase any of those he wanted to, and according to him, they have to purchase their own. This may have changed, but yeah. He said the most common is the Glock, but it's something to keep in mind for you guys.

I see a lot of SRT's using M4's with the handguard weaponlight, as well as a fair amount with EOTechs or even ACOGs.

Then some people who can't afford the SWAT gear and new gun can go on the bad guy team. A group of criminals just use whatever guns and such they can get.

I think It would be Fun. I just need a Swat vest. I Got all my load out for military. So I also have a full silenced for grip MP5 witch would be good for SWAT. I am thinking of getting a M16 For my army loud out. So then I could use the MP5 for my SWAT.
