Real-steel AK47 pistol taken off a hiker in Tennessee. The owner added the orange tip from an Airsoft gun. The first officer he made contact with mistook the gun for Airsoft.

ORANGE TIPS ARE WORTHLESS.

See people, this is EXACTLY why orange tips on an airsoft gun don't mean SHIT to Law Enforcement.

A hiker? What the shit does someone need a gun modified to look like a toy for when hiking?

Of all the photos I've seen of real firearms made to look like airsoft guns that's probably the most convincing. Unless I physically handled the weapon, I'd likely think it was airsoft myself. Scary.

Bunny, he was probably only referred to as a "hiker" because they couldn't find his field of Marijuana he's got going somewhere in the forest. Hit Netflix and check out a movie called Humboldt County.

Here's a link to the story...

The gun was modified to qualify as a pistol, and was technically legal in the state park he was in. He was held and released. Sounds like the guy was just trying to push the boundaries. It's surprising to me that no mention was made of the orange tip in any of the sources I've read.
