Any Motorcycle Enthusiasts out there?

Post by USMC_GUNNA » Tue Mar 25, 2014 6:48 pm

I have been riding for 5 years and have had everything from a Suzuki B-King (Naked Hayabusa) to a Yamaha WR250X. I love riding and put 15,000+ miles on a year.

I ice ride:

If anyone is interested I am leading a ride Sat. 329 @3pm, kickstands up @3:20pm. Meet location is Bobby and Steve's Minneapolis: 1221 Washington Ave S. Minneapolis, MN 55415. Should be around 5-10 bikes there.

I use to have some pretty rare bikes back in the day. Had a Rothmans ns400r and a rz350 that dynoed 101hp my rz was my favorite bike that I have ever owned. I would buy one today if I found a clean one. At least I think I would.

Been riding since 91', this is my current scoot, a 07 Yamaha Warrior. I'll hop a few different organized rides and others with coworkers throughout the Summer.

NSR and RZ350, you sir know how to pick em! I have always wanted a street legal 2 stroke, that would be so much fun. My buddy just plated his KDX220.

Good choice on those VFR's Chris, I love V4 engines, I used to have a Yamaha Vmax (1200cc v4).

I have also had
-'07 Honda CBR600RR (kinda plain, but did everything quite well)
-'08 Suzuki GSX1300BK (185HP, to much for the street haha)
-'08 Ducati 1098 (Maintenance PITA, and fragile)
-'00 Suzuki TL1000R (They call this the widow maker...)
-'06 Honda CRF450R (SuperMoto, most fun bike every, but to much maintenance... 300mile valve checks)
-'11 Aprilia Dorsoduro (So much fun and awesome, well damped suspension, kinda miss it...)
-'07 SSR140

And right now I have a 2013 Triumph Daytona 675 (Riding this is electric sex), a 2008 Yamaha WR250X (more fun than you can shake a stick @) and a 2013 PitsterPro 110ss (Street legal haha).

Have you guys seen the KTM SuperDuke 1290? That things soul purpose is to get people in trouble.

THe NT650 was a hoot too...no power...but it was modded to handle.

Power is overrated on the street. My WR250x makes 28 horsepower, but it is one of the most fun bikes I have ever rode.

Anybody ever go to first Thursday in uptown?

Used to...I remember when the R1's came out, there were two girls that had them...wore skimpy outfits, had helmets on and their pony tails would hang down...they would do a slow roll through to get everyones attention and then peel out of there...tease!

I've always loved smaller bikes, they are always more fun to throw around. I use to go to uptown, its pretty cool to see all the different bikes but since I haven't ridden a bike in a few years I haven't gone. My bikes always got overlooked there.

I'll go to first Thursday every now and then just to see what's new. I'm never there for more than a half hour.
