Fourth of July plans

Post by Sharpshot » Tue Jul 01, 2008 10:49 am

Hey guys. For the fourth of July I am going to the Science museum for the Star wars exhibit and the fireworks display. What are the rest of you guys doing for the fourth?

I am celebrating my love of this country by blowing up a small piece of it with very colorful and sparkly things.

Last night a bunch of kids and some adults decided to start the celebration early. I confiscated over 100$ worth of fireworks and put and end to that fun. :P It ain't the fourth, your neighbors don't wanna listen to it, and you're dumb enough to fire a mortar round off right next to my squad.....they're mine haha. I let fireworks slide on the fourth however.

Sadly, my plans involve working some 4th of July detail for the PD where I'm SUPPOSED walk/drive around taking peoples fireworks...at least I get a front-row seat to the best show in the city! ha

Sadly, I'm working. Otherwise, I would be at The Great Virginia Get Together in Virginia, MN, AKA my 5 year reunion.

Watching 5-10 different towns fireworks display from my uncles house out in the country. Pretty cool. Then celebrating how mostly every other American does by having my own fireworks display. 8)

Going up north to family cabins to fish, have fun on the water, drink, and set off loud fireworks that are kept in the back room at a fireworks dealer in South Dakota.

You betcha. Its cool knowing that all of these towns are taking time and money to set up beautiful displays to celebrate our independence. Also, I don't get to enjoy just one display, but a bucket load of displays. Valleyfair's display is probably the best though.

I'll be selling the fireworks that Trikx will be confiscating, probably until 10pm or so.

fireworks, booze, hottubs, lake, dirt roads, fast driving, video games, hangover, work....in that order....lol. well, maybe not that order. ( I would never think of performing any non-law abiding activities for my 4th of July Celebration) exept fireworks...of course.

I am celebrating by getting off post and going down to Seoul. There's a lot going on Friday here (which would be Thurs evening for you guys) but I don't think I'm going to hang around for it. I may (depending on the hangover) watch the 4th at the capitol Sunday morning (time zones suck).

Wife will be back in town (country/hemisphere) with her mother. We'll spend the 4th around town. We'll probably go to the Chanhassen fireworks, where my mother-in-law (Chinese) will probably say "yes, they were...interesting."

I saw fireworks for Taiwan's independence day (October 10th). You can't imagine how incredible they were. Not just quantity but quality. I've been jaded; now, fireworks look like sparklers.

Don't be so surprised, you're not the only one whose fluent in douche bag.

Ha ha ha, I'm just kidding, but I couldn't resist to say something stupid there.

As for me, I'm probably going to watch one or two fireworks displays around where I live, then light off a few of my own fireworks, that is if b_rik doesn't kill me by then...

I will be in Boscobel, Wi working the town fireworks display with Hollywood Pyrotechnics. Unfortunately that means getting up at 5:30am to drive down there after working until midnight at my "normal" job.
