FYI Gabe,

X-993s will get your skills into the 40s.
Roidworm Hordes are great for skills to the 50s. They're great to skill on because they don't hold on retreat. Works well with your Org Armor too. However they have a killer missile that will lay the smackdown on you (255 damage on x1) so only go 5 rounds at a time (max that is). Start at 1-rounders.

This f***ing sucks. I can't move in the URC without getting ambushed. There doesn't seem to be any point for me to play until the war is over. I was gonna pay for a premium account, glad I held off on that.
Prem. accts gets you characters on all three severs. Only Orion is at war right now, and seems to be the most populated. Right now I have a character on Pegasus named Postman X.
I always knew Irish was a evil. It's his skinniness. If he had a goatee, he'd be real trouble.

Got cocky....then got caught with my pants down....
2007/12/01 - 21:39
Daitenshi was defeated by Medusa Swarmlings.
I deserved it....and honestly didn't lose much in the way of skills as I thought I would. I wanted to push my HA over 30 today....so I took a swing at the Medusa Swarmling figuring I could retreat. I waited to long and couldn't, got blasted. I'm actually fine with this other than I have over 24 hours to wait for full AP's. I didn't lose any rank, still 67% to Lord, HA at 29.4 (I think it may have been 29.5). I was looking for a quick drop into Keldon....this was it. Not saying I didn't want the kill....or at least to survive....but I'm not as ticked as I thought I'd be.

Rayzor....until you up your ship, only hit SM's, YSD's, and maybe BS's.

Irish....first SM? You got get some kill points man.

* Just saw I lost some other skills. Cloak, my Tac and Man went down just a hair....other stats that I don't grind on look terrible.

Cult placed a bounty of 60,000 credits on Irish's buildings.
Irish man, what are you doing out there?

This plus an alliance message warning us that you are tele-robbing. You're going to make the Human Core to hot to fly in soon.

Cuz no one is cool enough?

Not a bad morning of hunting From (WZ3-288 to Keldon)....

Killing 2 Space Worms 3,620 [Credits]
Killing 3 Sarracenias 4,750 [Credits]
Killing 2 Space Worms 3,520 [Credits]
Killing a Sarracenia 4,150 [Credits]
Killing 3 Inexperienced Pirates 3,720 [Credits]

Killing 3 Inexperienced Pirates 3,740 [Credits]
Killing 3 Inexperienced Pirates 3,780 [Credits]
Killing 2 Inexperienced Pirates 3,570 [Credits]
Killing a Space Worm 3,220 [Credits]
Killing a Sarracenia 4,370 [Credits]
Killing a Sarracenia 4,230 [Credits]
Killing a Sarracenia 4,120 [Credits]

Just because I saw them, I also killed 2 more IP's and 2 more Sarracenia's. I lucked out on the Sar's as they cloak well and can be hard to find sometimes.

5 IP's (average 6 rds)
4 SW's (average 12 rds)
5 Sar's (average 12 rds)

54,300 Credits earned

7,423 Spent on repairs
Nothing on fuel (lucky but I know good spots that always have hydro)

Still have almost 1000 AP's left....

5 Sectors, 5 P/SB's....I should have checked 1, maybe 2 more, but I didn't want to burn the AP's. From Sakura Hope in WG3-2288, to Urlafa, to The Emperors hand in SZ 4-419, to Technocracy in Eta Cass (could have also gone to Stage 3 SB but it was out of the way) to Keldon II. I did missions around Keldon I but as I said, I didn't want to burn AP's back and forthing. I am however close to ranking....so I may pick up something easy while I'm here (I am currently docked on Keldon I) in the hopes I can gain more XP.

Man, I'm bummed.
I started the day at 80% to Master and despite completing 3 faction kill missions I end the day at the same point.
I was up to 95% with 1 YSD left to kill to complete my last kill mission, but ran out of AP looking for the damned things. (I went to a sector that is normally YSD heavy but apparently other people were running kill missions in that area as well.)

SO I gained 15% completing 3 missions & LOST 15% by failing 1 mission.
This SUCKS!!.

Yeah, they definitely weight it so that failing hurts more than succeeding helps.

well I got killed recently and I was about 15% above Squire and with my failed missions I'm now at 6% above Sir. Oh and I lost around 8 tons of Skarri limbs, oh and the guy who killed me did it because I was on the same tile as a Union guy and what makes it worse is that he was a nice guy. Here are the messages he sent me:

Yeup, you gotta be careful not to take on more missions than your AP will allow you to complete cause - as you just learned the hard way - every mission failed hits you for the equivalent of 3 missions completed. Yeah it sucks, but I prefer that over a fixed percentage loss... imagine if the penalty was -5%... sure, at the point you're at it would only mean 1 mission to make up... but as you advanced it'd be worse... for instance, I'd need to make up ~11 missions(lvl 6)... and ~54 missions at lvl 12... just want to put things in perspective.

A bit of advice, if you're in a situation where you're low on APs and your target enemy isn't in it's fixed spawn point wait it out if the time left on the mission is greater than the respawn rate which you can find here. That has saved me from backpeddling on many Bioscavenger kill missions.

What Scuzz said. Know the regen times for things. The pages listed are guidelines but are close enough. I know a couple sectors very well....and if I know I have missions with YSD's, SM's, and BS's....i'll usually kill what I can see, then just camp the area and check it the set time. Don't fly around unless you're positive you don't have the time to wait. The times get increasing longer the harder the NPC.

Watch yourself in the outer rims. Sure, there's a war....but that seems to be a convenient excuse. there are always people out in the rim killing other pilots. I've spent time out there....and you can have a good time and make some money....but unless you can fight, you should stay in a core system. If you decide to go out in the black....make sure you dock on a planet or SB. Even if it's just for a couple hours. Never leave yourself out there to be messed with. I got tele-robbed once....and even though all the guy got was fuel....it taught me the lesson.

I was going to ask about that. Cult is in my alliance and I thought that we had rather strict rules about collecting bounties.

I also saw that Cult had to lift his bounties off of you and your buildings.

Nice Irish. I saw the bounties come off as well. At least it kicked you into high gear on decking out your ship and defenses. What are you flying now? Have you made a profile on our OT topic?

Gore's should be in nebulas....I don't think they cloak. I haven't seen a clam yet by I hear they're in standard energy fields.

PvtLee,
Don't forget the Spectre has good shipping qualities as well. Both Scuzz and I went far in our Spectre's. Scuzz went to Lord in his and has the highest amount of missions in one day of anyone in our group (51), and I know he did a ton of shipping.

Which is exactly why it doesn't need to be stickied... it'll always be near the top... whereas the STATS thread got stickied because people are constantly editing their post with updated information, but that doesn't bump it and people would have to hunt for it.

I stickied it anyway....no one but the die hard PARDUSers want to see it anyway. And as most don't even look at the stickies....it's out of the way now.

Just want to clarify that it was 51 missions in a 24hr period... so I'm sure I started the day with 5000AP, then logged on in the evening and played another ~3000AP or so.

I think the most I've done with one 5000AP block is 35 missions, but yes, as Arch said the Spectre can bring you a long way.

Fair enough. Not like I was opposed to it... just didn't think it was necessary.

Does this at least clear all your bounties? I see no one has picked off Marauder yet....

The Empire placed a bounty of 1,000 credits on Daitenshi's head
Stupid....for selling bio waste.... Oh well. We'll see what happens now. And I'm at 99% to Lord too.

DAMMIT!!!
Literally 10 seconds to go until I was going to run out of time on the Faction mission that would make me a Lord. I refresh my Nav, there is a Space Worm, I rush to it, kill it, pass the mission. Check my stats, 97% to Lord!!! FRAK!!! The bounty lowered my rank progress.

Ugh, and now I have a bounty on my head. I'm not going to be an easy kill....but now I basically have to dock every time I want to rest....as well as travel fast thru the lanes. Evidently bounties go away after 30 days....

Congrats on the ribbon. May there be many more.

Neither did I....and now I have a bounty. I just thought about it though....being in BSC may save me as we have so many NAP's. I only have to worry about neutral guys and actual Bounty Hunters. I feel like Han Solo....

Gorefanglings are nothing for my build and shouldn't be bad for yours either. Gibril took one out with his dual 4's in 5 rounds. The only issue is, everyone is out there trying to get there ribbons so they're impossible to find right now. I went thru 8 sectors today and only saw one of the new beasties (which I killed).

It should be illegal to try to offload your scatter-buns space pooh.

Did you sell the waste on the black market?

KINKY!

Yeah, that's why you were bountied then. While the black market pays more for biowaste than a regular starbase market does, it is considered illegal.

Rather than properly disposing of your stinky at a SB or recyclotron, those shifty individuals on the BM are gonna turn your brown (and red) into some kinda weapon. Yeeesh.. imagine the posibilities.

1,000 credit's is pretty low. I don't know why anyone would even bother trying to collect it.
You can make more by killing space maggots, and they're WAY easier targets.

It's always been a matter of convenience for me....not so much about the revenue. Oh well. What's done is done.... I'm actually kind of psyched to be on the run. Of course if I die it's gonna suck....but depending on who comes after me....maybe I'll get a kill or two in (or get friggin' spanked).

How you doin' on Pegasus? I made private and am 37% to Corp.

Hey Chaz, update your profile in the stickied post. I want to see where you're at now. I think I will also add my Pegasus character (Not going to bother with my Artemis guy yet).
