New to the Boards and fairly New to the Game

Post by Adeptius » Thu Sep 11, 2014 9:04 pm

Name is Adeptius or Cyrus, or Mouse. Which ever you choose to call me. Real name is Josh.
I hail out of So St Paul. I've played a few home brew games but nothing bigger then with a few buddies.
I'm looking into getting more into the sport.

My current guns are:
ICS - Sig SG551 with a foregrip, still looking for a good reflex site
A and K - SVD Spring Sniper rifle dont use it much as its a spring action.

I'm going to be checking a buddy of mines gear that he wants to get rid of. Hopefully I can get a few more guns.
Currently looking at getting some better BDUs and a chest rig.

Hello,

Welcome to the boards!

Some members here have been Airsofting since the 20th Century...and work in the Airsoft Industry...we can get you sorted.
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Don't fear the gun...fear the one that's wielding it!

Thank you Guges Mk 3.

I'm looking forward to seeing every one on the battlefield.

This weekend I'm gonna head to a shop and try on some Tactical Gear. See what fits me right.
Being short and fairly small person (5' 5" 170lbs)its hard to find stuff that fits me comfortably and doesn't hinder my movement.

I've got some thing like this http://www.condoroutdoor.com/Condor-XPC.aspx in ACU but it just feels really bulky on me.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Please don't go for Condor. In fact, most gear you can buy at a retail store is not worth your time or money. Instead, look at some items by Flyye - if you want to go cheap, look at the Modi JPC.

I wasn't planing on getting any more condor gear.
I wanted to go to retail store to size it. make sure I don't get any thing to big or small.
Any suggestions on websites that have good gear?

FYI, there's nothing wrong with Condor. I put it on the same level as Flyye anyway. Get whatever gear works for you, this is airsoft, not real steel, and you won't need the added QC of the higher end (& more expensive) gear.

If you're looking to try stuff on, head out to the mini op next weekend at Big Lake. if you make friends, you should be able to play around with a bit of gear.
