Getting into the thick of things

Post by Fitzguy » Fri Dec 06, 2013 5:00 pm

Hey guys, I'm new to the boards. I'm what would be considered a slightly conditioned newbie in the world of airsoft. I have been to several open games at TC Airsoft with some borrowed guns from friends. I am looking to get more involved in the sport and hope get going with some decent gear at a fair price. I have browsed around the interwebs for a while looking for good deals or things that I have used that I enjoyed and here are my top three choices. I was hoping some more experienced players could give me some advice on which direction to go. Except for the Matrix bundle I do not plan on necessarily buying from these specific vendors. My goal is to get one of these, face protection, a basic retention system and a battery/smart charger (I already have a camelbak for hydration).

P.s. I know about Master TCAA, I plan on visiting his shop sometime later this month.

You have a 200.00 AEEG budget then?
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

There about, yes. The less I spend on an AEG, the more I have to spend on other gear. However, getting a decent primary is my starting goal. I would prefer to get a general load going for $250 or less. I am willing to go a little over if need be. I'm also beginning to lean toward the Matrix package as I have heard it is a very customizable platform.

Check with TCAA before you buy.
