APS UAR thoughts

Post by rhino6550 » Mon Sep 15, 2014 4:34 pm

Ok, So i have been looking for a new primary and i know that the APS UAR isnt the best choice. but i was looking online and i saw that they are holding preorders for a version of it with a metal gearbox. i was wondering is that something worth looking into or should i just look for a decent m4?

All other issues remain with the UAR even with the metal gear box.
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Not all magazines feed well. Battery is limited to the 11.1V Lipo and the AEG is not built for a 3S lipo (Need SSR MOSFET for a 3S Lipo).
Hop-up has no consistency between units...some functions...some don't due to assumbly issues. Who needs a nub...much less being put in right.

If you are not able to "tinker", this AEG is not for you.

I worked on one a couple months ago.

The mags it came with didn't feed at all unless you were pushing up on the mag while shooting.
