Airsoft Magazines and TSA

Post by Jonnyboyman » Fri Jul 18, 2014 11:09 am

I have some KWA MP7 magazines that I want to bring back to MN from Hong Kong. I have brought PMAG's back without any problems, but didn't know if it was because these were made of polymer... Any advice on whether I should just bring the MP7 mags in my checked in luggage or if I should mail the mags to myself?

You can bring it in checked bagged.

And its not TSA...there is no TSA in Hong Kong.
I rather use a "nightmare" that shoots like a dream over something that looks like a "dream" but shoots like a nightmare.

Thanks! When I put TSA I was referring more to the customs for USA... But I guess you know what I mean.

You need to worry about HK customs...

Really? I would think that HK security would be used to people bringing out airsoft goods considering the popularity of air soft in HK... Also, would EMAGs with the mag window (fake bullets) be a problem?

You have to use common sense. Airsoft does not move through HK Intl as much as you think it does.

If you are bring a complete GBB...yeah declare it and plan for additional time to be scrutinized.

If its a plastic mag...the X-Ray will show it's fake.

I am by no means bringing an entire gbb. Just mags and accessories :D And of course, there will be some HK security but the reason I was worried about US security mainly was because in my past experience, it seems US security is a little more... scrutinizing.

This is in bound...not out bound.

Anything to declare? Yes...TOY parts and accessories.
