You think TM and G&P are defunct companies? Interesting........

de·funct
Adjective: No longer existing or functioning.
Synonyms: dead - deceased - departed - extinct - late

So how are any of those you mentioned defunct? They are all still in business and some of them are not even manufacturers.

But to the OP...There are far fewer defunct airsoft manufacturers than you might think. I'm not sure I could even come up with 10 total that are no longer around.

Then your OP should be titled "Top 10 Worst Airsoft Manufacturers".

Either way it's a fairly subjective thing. Some people love ICS but I quite literally would not cross the street for a free one.

Most of the truly terrible manufacturers are companies that most people don't even know the name of. They'll know who DISTRIBUTES it, but not who actually MANUFACTURES it.
There is a TON of re-branding in the airsoft world. I regularly see people talk smack about one company's guns while praising another, but both are actually manufactured by the exact same factory. The same (and even more so) with BBs. There are hundreds of brands but only a handful of actual manufacturers.

Yes, but that generally refers to actual claims. Like "bananas cure cancer when used as a suppository". (Wait! Did I just cure cancer??)

Lol I thought the sarcasm was obvious enough; I'll kindly back outta this thread
*Edit* i.e. TM being made in Japan, G&P in Hong Kong

Colt does not make airsoft guns. They license their trademarks/trade-dress to companies (Cybergun currently) who have factories produce the items and apply the Colt name/trades to it.
Same goes with all the actual firearms manufacturers.
So forget about the "Colt", "H&K', "Remington", etc, etc. names; the trade license holders are buying most of their guns from the same handful of factories in Asia (mostly China).

I believe this is largely why Seawolf was trying to discourage this discussion. There's a TON of confusion about who makes what & for whom.
Hell, I work in the industry and I can't even keep ALL of it straight. Joe Public has zero chance of figuring it out. There are only a few factories worldwide that produce airsoft guns (and BBs) and they supply the hundreds of so-called "manufacturers" and brand names.

Aside from all that....This essentially boils down to a "what am best gun?" (or worst in this case) thread which never go anywhere and inevitably end with people arguing over stupid crap.

What's the worst gun? Pretty much everything with a plastic gearbox, anything made by JP, anything made by KWC (except their spring pistols those aren't terrible).
As a general rule...If you CAN buy it at a 'big box' store, DON"T buy it.
