Why the suppressor? Does it cover any inner barrel?

It's mainly for looks but it does make the gun quieter and I think gives it a little bit more power cause of the air build up in it.

The looks thing is subjective. I'm a stickler for realism and if that were a real suppressor on a real AR15/M4 the suppressor would explode. That size would be for a .22 LR NOT for a 5.56, but most people don't care.
As for the giving it more power...NOPE, it will not/does not do that.

It's like saying a RECCE with an MP5 length inner barrel will result in an increase in fps... what I think you mean is compression, and all of that happens in the gearbox and hop up unit...

I've been on a bit of an airsoft buying kick lately. Just picked up a GBBR M4 from Evike. Plus a bunch of Magpul accessories to add to it. I would like to replace my EOTech 552 with a 551 so the BUIS can function properly and of course get additional mags.

If you haven't fired a GBBR before, you are missing out. I don't think I'll ever go back to AEG. Now I just need to get out to a game.

Elvis I dont think a different eo tech will help you. The S system RIS is to High to put a BUIS on so it will not sight well with the triangle front post. try a more low profile sight like a KAC and mount it straight to the upper.

I move the PEQ15 and Eotech a bit forward. The rear sight is operable now. Just need to get a new railed gas block to replace the front sight post.

I suppose the MBUS is backwards. :) Thank you for the catch.

But I have no way to change the height. Both the EOTech and MBUS are sitting on top of the S-System rail. The front sight hasn't been replaced until I find a new gas block.

Yea, having the s-system rail, or even the CASV makes it some-what difficult to co-witness your sights. I don't really think if matters if the sight is backwards... does it?

I think it would be nice to collapse the sight if desired. In Elvis's case with the MBUS being so close to the Eotech, there is not enough room for the MBUS to lay down.
Today's problems cannot be solved if we still think the way we thought when we created them.

I adjusted the position of my PEQ and EOTech forward. The MBUS lies down flat now. I still want to turn in around as the horizontal adjustment is opposite from the way it should be, I'm just lazy.

I've found a good use for the suppressor, it can double as a sound amplifier. The base part of the suppressor is just a holo cylinder with two screwed on ends that can attach both ccw and cw. all I have to do is unscrew the cw one and it amps up the new gearbox sound because I got it upgraded/fixed with a new motor, piston, spring, and tappet plate. It makes a loud short electric burst noise, it's not as long of a noise as it was when it was stock because the high torque motor can pull the piston back so fast. In other words I found a way to make a cheap suppressor a noise amp, pretty cool. If any one was wondering it was tacc master who fixed my gun, the labor + parts costed about $125 it was totally worth it. And if any one was wondering how this has any thing to do with pictures well just look at my gun. Parts list, how I got my gun to the way it was to day: stock vega force company m4es tactical $400, false eotech $60, dboys foregrip $20, suppressor $17, matrix piston $25 tappet plate $5 new motor ~ $65 and labor $30. The total including tax was well over $650 maybe $675.

when i had my s-system i had to do some modification to get other rear sights to fit. i believe i modified the sight. if i remember right, on mine the rail looks like its two parts but its not...

elvis a new gas block with sight will not help as it will still not be tall enough to co witness the sight you might want to just chop off the triangle and mount a sight to the s system

yea.. but you have your rear sight mounted on the lower rail, not the riser rail, so they would line up. if he took his iron sight and mounted it on the lower rail section, it would line up with his front sight post, no problemo.... he wants the irons to cowitness with the eotech. you can't cowitness sights mounted on the base rail with a sight that is mounted on a riser... It just doesn't work. that's why I've always hated guns with built in risers like the S-system and my old SPR Mod-0

If you want to have co-witnessed irons, then you're going to have to move the PEQ to a side rail and put the irons on the riser rail, or you're going to just have to for-go either the Iron's or the Eotech... can't have both I'm afraid. Not with an S-system.

What you *COULD* do would be get some form of low-profile dot, like a trijicon RMR replica, or an Aimpoint Micro T-1 *WITHOUT* the riser block and mount that on there. they *might* line up with the irons then. I'm not sure though, because the s-system rail is a weird height.. worth looking into though.

What I've done on my CASVs is machine an additional picatinny groove just behind the end of the rail. You can then mount a flip-up rear sight on the flattop.
