MAG brand magazines

Post by Deathwatch » Sun Dec 21, 2008 8:24 pm

I made the mistake of buying a box of these for my AK. They are absolute garbage. That was last year however and I know how fast the chinese adapt their products to market demands. Are they decent now? I see that they just introduced M16 VN style mags that hold 130 rounds. My full size king arms midcaps only hold ~110. Is it safe to snag some or is this a mistake? Trying to do a search for "MAG airsoft magazine quality" doesn't exact yield the results I was looking for.

It is odd that you got some bad MAG magazines. Their AK line has not been around as long as their M16 line, but then the Chinese are not consistent with their product lines. All MAG brand magazines should be okay.

I run MAG magazines in my CA and TM M4's and they work fine. Every so often I'll get a misfeed or somethin but for the price I'm not complaining...especially since the G&G mids I had misfeed more than them

Ok awesome thanks guys. I'm going to grab some then. Out of 10 king arms mid caps I had 2 that just WOULD NOT FEED that I turned into BB loaders. I'm willing to except a few bad ones in a box. I mean for the price.......

i have a ton of AR MAG mags, and i love them. All of them feed, and my abusive tendancies have only broken one so far... I reccomend them.

I've owned at least 65 MAG brand mags for several types of guns, I've never done a single bit of maintenance to them and I usually don't even unload them when I'm done playing. I've had a total of one magazine malfunction to the point where I couldn't use it.

^ I'll hit you up in the next couple days we should catch up.

Wow I wonder if I got a bad batch or something. It couldn't have been the gun cause it was used on 3 people AK's at the SPF game. Out of the box of 10 more then half had feed problems. I guess i'll give it another shot. Non-winding shorty M16 mags that hold more then the full size ones, yes please!

I borrowed some of those MAG VN mags at a recent game and they worked great. Gun was doing around 1500 bbs per minute, and the mags kept up.

MAG AK mags only come 5 to a box. Is it possible you have STAR mags? They come in 10 packs.

I have a case of MAG MP5 mags; I left several of them loaded for over a month and they don't feed consistently any more. I also have M$ MAG mags that, while I haven't had them for very long, have not caused me any problems.

I have both M4 and AK mags by them, from what I found when you dont fully load them they work fine.

Ahh it WAS star. Go figure! Those things were GARBAGE. I grabbed 2 boxes of the shorty mags so that'll be a nice thing to have for spring!
