Not a lot of people still post on this! strange, whether or not this is a necro post, I figured this was some valuable information!

I know I posted a while back, but since then I've bought more guns, and had older ones chronoed. So this is kind of an update!

UTG L96 Sniper Rifle
CP chrono: 490 with .2s

ASGI Custom G4-A3 DMR
CP chrono: 380 with .2s

A&K MK43 (my baby)
CP chrono: 420 with .2s (can anyone explain that? it was 360 on the ASGI chrono!)

WE G39C GBBR
ASGI Chrono slip: 390

As of now, thats what I use, I sold that AK47 a while back because it shot too hot.

I built my gun, so there isnt a specific make or model. But the gearbox i put in it is stock, and is the same gearbox that echo1 puts in there stag arms series.
JG Golden Eagle gearbox - 438fps
It was chronoed at a military games event

500fps with .12 is not very impressive.

That gun is only good with .40 and up and the fps for a .40 is around 445 fps.

Do you think this from personal experience? Also why do you say its only good if you use .40g bbs and up? There are many factors when it comes to what would be the ideal weight.

This thread is for reporting the known FPS of a gun, not what you read somewhere, not what you think it is, not what someone told you, and not what a website told you it is. If you don't own the gun and didn't personally have it chronoed for you at a game or with a personal chronograph you have no reason to post here.

I find it highly unlikely that any springer shoots at 445 FPS with .4g BBs, that's extraordinarily fast and would be very difficult to use not to mention would probably rip itself apart.

I'd have to agree with clark, if any airsoft gun shot 445 with .4s, itd have to be firing probably over 550 FPS, which would be automatically unusable at most if not all airsoft fields.

Daytona and Bunny.

Please note that centuryAIRSOFT was making a comment against xCodzProject regarding a Dragunov SVD bolt action.

Don't want to hijack thread but Guges, was that with .20?

(I know you shoot a lot of .25's thru your chronographs.)

Finally had a chance to chrono some of my guns so here are the results.
Tested today: Feb 22, 2012
All guns are stock, recently torn down and lubed.
FPS is measured with zero hopup. This can make a huge difference on some guns. I can drop a gun like my King Arms 60 FPS with hopup dialed up (to far).

FPS was averaged over 20 rounds on an F-1 shooting chronograph here at home.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

M4A1 - King Arms (AEG) - well used gun, thousands of rounds through it
.20 BB
FPS: 344

M4 Defender - (G&P) - brand new shinny gun, < 1k rounds through it.
.20 BB
FPS: 406

MP5A5 - (Tokyo Marui) - well used gun, thousands of rounds though it.
.20 BB
FPS: 275

P226 GBB Pistol - (KSC) - New gun
.20 BB
Propane gas - full mag, room temp at start of recording, dropping to ambient (40 deg) while firing.
FPS: 307

G17C AEP Pistol - (CYMA) - New gun
.20 BB
FPS: 210

SD67 Pump Shotgun (springer) - (UTG) - New gun
.20 BB
FPS: 249

My sons Nerf gun - (Nerf) - totally beaten up and left outside
some nerf darts found around the house
FPS: 28
(That was for fun, and except for a number of read errors I was impressed the F-1 could register that low.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note to Guges: I'l be putting that TK Twist barrel in the Marui next, then retesting (with stock internals), then change out spring and piston you provided and will then retest again.
