June 10th DOLPH DOOMSDAY. Big Lake Tactical Wargames

Post by travis17ss » Wed May 31, 2017 11:33 am

Team DOLPH, MNSOC and Big Lake Tactical
Present:

DOLPH DOOMSDAY
A Post Apocalyptic Airsoft Game

THE WORLD HAS ENDED...KINDA.
There was this war right? and everyone mostly died. Except for a few people, and that's where you all come in.

Everyone starts out as individuals spread across the field. The main goal of the game is to collect supplies from the field: booze, water, food, gasoline, ammunition, and medical supplies. Each item will be assigned a point value. People can form groups in the field, but points are divided among members evenly at the end of the game. So larger groups can carry more, and score higher point totals, but the points are divided between more people. The basic goal of the game is to scavenge as many supplies as the various groups of survivors can carry, hoard, and defend from all the various dangers of this post apocalyptic world. The survivors are not alone in the wasteland however, an aggressive military force will be making sure no single team becomes too large.

Gun Restrictions: Because resources are so scarce, Survivors do not have access to high end automatic weaponry and ammunition. Survivors are only allowed use of pistols (non-automatic), shotguns, bolt action rifles, and/or foam bow & arrows. NO AEG’s or Gas guns capable of Full Auto allowed. All guns including bolt action rifles are limited to 400fps with .20 BB’s. Anyone caught with a gun firing over 400 will be immediately ejected from the game.

Foam Weapons: Doomsday is a non-contact game. Thrown foam weapons are not permitted. Players are not allowed under any circumstances to make physical contact with another player. Violation of this will result in ejection. This is not a LARP game.

Gear Restrictions: Survivors are not allowed to wear full camo. Tops or bottoms only, This is to clearly distinguish from the Military which will be wearing full military style camouflage. The idea is that survivors are using what they would have had lying around their homes and farms. So hunting gear and civilian fanny packs, backpacks, purses, etc are highly encouraged. Leave your camo and tac vest at home, you will not be allowed on the field with in tactical gear. Instead, throw some pistol mags in your old school bag, borrow your mom’s neon pink and yellow fanny pack and get your game on.

Com’s are not allowed. No radios, Walkie Talkies, ect..

Costumes: Dressing up for Doomsday is strongly encouraged. Halloween masks, ect.. are OK with proper full size eye protection. Just remember, mesh goggles and lenses are not allowed

Dying in the Apocalypse: When you are hit anywhere including your weapon you are out. Immediately begin counting out loud up to 60 in 10 second intervals, counting down the last ten. This 60 seconds is your bleed out time.

Looting: If you are approached by another player within 2 feet you must surrender any scoring items you are carrying. If you are caught violating this rule you will receive a permanent “0” points at the end of the game.

Respawn: Throughout the field are Respawn poles with a bell on the top. By ringing the bell you are signifying your return to the game. When your 60 second bleed out time has expired, place a dead rag on your head and you may now respawn at any pole on the field.

To spread people out and to prevent abuse of the system, the closest spawn pole to you is invalid. You must use a different spawn point other than the one closest to you.

The Military: There is a military presence preventing any team from becoming too large. This is made of veteran player refs and is not a position with spots available. Be careful when forming together as groups, the military has more firepower than you do and is motivated to keep the big dogs down.

Due to the 100 degree temperatures on Sunday combined with the high humidity and costumes it is irresponsible and dangerous to run this game on June 10th. The new tentative date is September 9th. In announcement will be made when the date is official.
