----------------------------------
*Name(first, last):

*Callsign:

*Age: (MUST HAVE ID AT GAME TO CONFIRM, maa members exempt)
---------------------------------
YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT.
NO WALK-ONS.
NO SPECTATORS.
NO DROP-OFFS or PICK UPS. You must arrive with a ride.

Warning/Disclaimer: This event takes place over the course of 12 hours(no scheduled breaks). If you do not think your physically able to be combat effective for at least that period of time, this is not the event for you.
It will be physically and mentally stressful under these conditions (very limited sleep, uncertain weather, insects galore, possible extreme heat, darkness, and more).
To put it frankly, it's a meat grinder. Prepare for everything.

1.00 Safety

---------------------------------------
NO Firing(includes dry fire) in any zone that is designated at NO SHOOT ZONE or STAGING AREA. While in these no fire zones, you are expected to have your mag out of your gun, safety on and have a barrel blocker on your barrel.

No Blind Firing!!!! You MUST BE ABLE TO SEE YOUR TARGET!
No Pyro or smoke is allowed at this event.

1.1 Safety Kills

For the safety of all, players who approach an unaware opposing player within 10' must utilize a "Safety Kill" by calling out aloud, "BANG!... You're dead" to the opposing player. At that time, the unaware opposing player must honor the "Safety Kill" and follow appropriate medic and/or re-spawn procedures. Remember, SAFETY FIRST!... Engagements within 10' should be avoided at all costs.

1.2 Parley

The most common use of parley is when two opposing players confront each other at the same time (within 10' of one another), when both were previously unaware of each others presence. Either or both players should call out aloud "parley" and immediately back away from one another. IF SHOTS ARE FIRED... Both players (hit by shot or not) should return to the nearest respawn.

2.0 Magazine Restrictions:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Magazine restrictions will be used for most events:
- ONLY Low/Reg/Mid capacity magazines are authorized. These mags are defined as any non-winding magazine.
- ONLY support weapons will be allowed to use cmag/drum/electric/box mags.

2.1 Grenades/Rockets

As of right now, there may moving vehicles on the field, so if you have nerf rockets or slugs, bring it. This may change, but the use of nerf rockets/slugs will be "mission specific" and the info will be provided in your Commander when the use of said items will be relevant.

BB shower grenades ARE allowed.

2.2 Weapon Restrictions

Any AEG, GBB meeting the FPS (450 FPS with .20 gram bb) requirement is allowed.

No classic airsoft gas gun without paintball certified tournament lock.

No exceptions.

3.0 Hit details.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To avoid any confusion, everything except a gun-in-hand will be accountable for the hit(IF YOU ARE HIT ON THE HAND, YOU ARE OUT). This means that every BB hitting bags, hats, rags, shemaghs, boots, friendly-fire, etc will count as "hit". Any holstered or slingd weapons being hit will also count as a legal hit. Immediately after you are hit,
1)You are to YELL HIT! HIT! HIT! (YOU MUST YELL, it is proper player conduct to let the opposing player know you have been hit. It is also recommended to yell, SO THEY STOP SHOOTING YOU.)
2)Then put a dead rag on your head and call for a medic (have kill kard in-hand, if applicable).

4.0 Uniform Requirements:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C.T.U. Uniform

Uniform

3-Color Desert.

AND

This is Russian camo. I don't know what it's called, but if your show up with THIS SPECIFIC PATTERN, you will be allowed to play CTU.

These are the only two patterns allowed. No variations, No exceptions.

Weapon/Mag Restrictions
All AEGs shooting under the FPS limit are allowed for CTU.
Only Mid-cap and Low-cap magazines are allowed. No winding mags(except support weapons).

CTU can have up to 4 Support gunners.
CTU may have one approved Sharpshooter.

*Sharpshooter and Support gunners must be approved by CO. CO will have the specific requirements to qualify as a sharpshooter and may wish to recruit this position.

If it's hot and you would like to substitute your top for short sleeves, you must have the proper uniform t-shirt.
===================
REBEL Uniform

Uniform
The following list is what is NOT ALLOWED. The following colors or patterns cannot be worn by any rebel (including gear!)
Three-color desert
Chocolate chip desert
Digital pattern Desert, MARPAT, ACU- No digital, period.
NO TAN PANTS- TAN GEAR IS OKAY.
Any other pattern or color is allowed for the rebels.
Civilian attire is encouraged, but not required.
*Note. There will be civilian role players that are not associated with either team.

If it's hot and you would like to substitute your top for short sleeves, you must have the proper uniform t-shirt.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.1 Goggles and Gear

ONLY ANSI 87.1 rated goggles will be allowed in the field. Goggles also have to be full sealed and retained by a strap.
It is recommended to use a full face mask, but it is not mandatory. Teeth protection (i.e. mouth guard) is also a good item to carry around. Combat or hiking boots are required. We also recommend that players play with long sleeve tops and full pants to avoid scratches, bruises, bug bites and poison ivy. There are also thorn bushes throughout the field.

5.0 FPS
---------------

450 FPS w/ .20 gram bb NO EXCEPTIONS

All AEGs, and Bolt Actions, will need to be chronographed before entering the field. Each gun will be tagged and logged. All players using a registered weapon will be held responsible for any FPS discrepancies during the event. Several tricks are known for FPS cheating and we know them all. Organizers reserve the right to randomly spot check any gun/ammo at any time during event. FPS violations will be dealt with severely.
***You are responsible for knowing the FPS of your weapon. If you show up and your gun shoots too hot, you will not be allowed to use that gun on the field. There are no refunds.***
*VELOCITY REDUCERS ARE NEVER ALLOWED AT TOC EVENTS/GAMES.

5.1 Close Quarters Combat

Minimum 10 ft engagement rule. This means if your within 10 feet of an enemy, you cannot shoot them. Use the bang rule as applicable or back-off and re-engage from a safe distance. You should always AIM CAREFULLY when engaging a player in close quarters.

6.0 Medic Rules (ALL PLAYERS MUST READ!)
-------------------------

How to use Medikits:
Tape system. Medic will wrap two rows of tape on the wounded players arm.
- Players are NOT allowed to have a gun-in-hand while healing a wounded player. The healing player must holster, sling over back, or put weapon on the ground while healing.

-YOU CAN NEVER HEAL YOURSELF.

*Kill Cards and Bleed-outs
-Bleed-out- Once you are hit, you must wait a minimum of 5 minutes in the spot where you are hit, you cannot move. You can choose to call for a medic at this time. Once 5 minutes has elapsed you can return to your factions nearest re-spawn.

-Kill Kards- Once you are hit, you must yell hit, pull out your dead rag(can call for medic), and have your kill kard in-hand, ready to hand to an enemy player if asked.

7.0 Player Conduct
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All players are expected to behave in the staging and playing area. Being said, all players should:
- Play with honor and integrity. Airsoft depends on sportsmanship so CALL YOUR HITS.
- Dead players don't talk or gesture. Call for a medic, nothing more.
- Respect the environment. Trash cans are there for a reason.
- Animals can't shoot back, leave them alone.
- Foul language will not be tolerated. Not everyone thinks cussing and yelling is cool; keep it to a minimum and to yourself.
- Physical or verbal contact between players with an aggressive manner will not be tolerated. Players involved in any physical aggression will be expelled, suspended or turned over to local Police.
- We are all friends. Always take care of the guy beside you, friend or foe. If you have any doubts about a player, don't be shy to ask if he needs assistance, even if it is just for some water.
- Players caught stealing will be turned over to law enforcement and blacklisted from all future TOC events, and the incident will be reported to all major airsoft organizations, and field owners/operators.

-Absolutely no alcohol or drugs will allowed on the property. No one appearing under the influence will be allowed on the property (includes camping area)

7.1 Camping
(edit 6-21-10)

Camping space at the new Big Lake field is somewhat limited. We have determined that there will be plenty of space to accommodate the anticipated head-count. The T.O.C. is projecting approximately 40 to 50 players attending this year. If you have a trailer/camper you are planning on bringing, please let us know ahead of time by emailing skmidwest@yahoo.com. Please include "Camper/Trailer" in the subject line.
*There will be a Biff bathroom available.

8.0 BLINDMAN RULE

-----------------------------------------------

If at any point during game play you hear the word BLINDMAN, do the following:

1.YELL BLINDMAN so everyone else around you hears it. Put your safety on your gun.

2. YELL BLINDMAN so everyone else around you hears it.

3. Wait for Ref's instructions.

DO NOT REMOVE YOUR GOGGLES!!!!!

The blindman may be called if someone is injured or if a player accidentally had their goggles removed.

9.0 Communication interception. (radio scanning)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frequency scanning is not allowed unless specified by mission. In the event that radio scanning is allowed, the CO will appoint ONE player to monitor the ONE radio that is allowed to scan.

10.0 HAVE FUN!

------------------------

It's required.

The Commanders
----------------------

Gen. Mac Felon - CTU.
Mac commanded the US/Russia joint task force for the past two years at Breakdown. He understands how the game is set-up and knows how to put his players in a position to win. In fact, after all the smoke was cleared, he's managed to squeak out a victory for CTU the past two years.

Amir el-Faust- Rebels
El-Faust has commanded the Rebel's for the past two years. Although the Rebels have come up short in the past, el-Faust commands a very aggressive group of loyal supporters, and has put them in position to win each year.

Pre-registration will open June 16th.
An initial deposit of $5.48 will be due at registration(paypal button below).
The balance ($20.00) will be due at check-in on game day.
Pre-registration will be open through midnight, July 1st.

On July 2nd, the deposit will go up to $10.61(still $20 due game day)

On July 11th, the deposit will go up to $15.75 (still $20 due on game day)

On July 14th at midnight, registration ends and the roster is locked.
CASH ONLY ON GAME DAY.
You cannot sell your spot or transfer your ticket.
Deposit is non-refundable.

We understand that a lot of gear is required for a game of this length, and gear costs a lot of money. The TOC has done their best to keep the cost of this game as low as possible, but as usual, you're only rewarded if you sign up early.

I guess we'll have to wait until Jericho to fight on the same side again.

Living out of state and rebuilding an 1850 antique house sure does put a dent in the ability to attend. However, I will be there in spirit!

So for those of us who have Multicam, can the rebel team wear that? What about MC gear? Or is MC considered tan?

One question: Will this years Breakdown be as squad oriented as last years one (IE is there going to sign ups for different squads and squad positions like Squad leader, rifleman, support gunner, etc). This added a lot of depth to the game, and I, as many others probably did, really enjoyed that aspect of the game.

I would argue there's not as much camping space....so is the time line still the same (0300 start time)?

Just got the OK, will be going Rebel once registration opens. Long live Amir el-Faust.

CTUUniform
3-Color Desert. This is your only option. No variations (no digital, no chocolate-chip).

I attended Breakdown II in period correct Russian equipment:

Image

I enjoyed the game and would like to return.

As I collect equipment of the Russian FSB TsSN, it is rare to use it in a game where the scenario suits the equipment. I have 2 other FSB-minded friends who would also like to attend after my experiences last year.

However, with DCU being the only accepted uniform for the Russian (now American led) side, I have no interest in attending. I do not own the uniform and having spent the past few years collecting equipment of the group spending their waking hours eradicating Islamic radicals in Chechnya and the surrounding area, it is not even a little interesting to assume the role of fundamentalists in a game.

If the event organizers would like the event to be based purely on fiction and removed entirely from the realms of reality to suit their needs, fine. But it appears a lot of the event fiction includes reference to real life people, places, and events. And what a surprise, the VDV (Federal troops) and FSB are mentioned?

To me it would seem reasonable to include the Russian national pattern Flora, its digital replacement, and one of the more typical camouflage patterns used by the FSB such as SS-Fall or SS-Spring.

I understand the DCU decision from the game organizer perspective, but would it not be reasonable from the story side of the game to include Russians in the scenario...located in Russia? Also, with full kit including helmets and armor, would it not be simply to identify Russian kit as being Russian?
