Bunny and I also have a decent collection of Nerf weapons, including a couple Mavericks (which jam a lot BTW) and some old Secret Shots.
I'm thinking of bringing the Nerf knockoff double barrel shotgun for dealing with Reavers.
Oh and something I learned from a Zombies vs. Humans player: the smaller Nerf guns (anything hand concealable) typically don't have the air restrictors on them so you get a longer range. Of course there are ways to remove air restrictors from bigger guns...

I'm quite interested. Perhaps this will be the catalyst for me finally buying the Nerf "Vulcan".

I am so down for this event. Firefly is one of my fave shows, and I might have to go out and buy a brown trenchcoat just for this. One of my friends has the Punisher, and it is possibly the most inaccurate thing I have ever shot. I'll be rocking my Nerf pistol and sword hopefully.

I've also got my sister in for this event! I'll have to teach her airsofting, but it should help that she is doing ROTC. She might be able to get a group together from her college too!

I think Daishido and I are a very strong maybe. Daishido has some nerf stuff, but I don't have any.

Shodan, I might have to see if you could hook me up with some stuff.

Hope gas prices don't get too high or Daishido and I will have to limit our Airsoft trips this year.

Irish and I are still trying to meet up to talk about this game....as far as I know there are many MAA and Minnesota guys planning on this (should be getting my Browncoat pants today) and we are hoping to organize as a unified faction. We want to discuss this with the organizers as we may have 20+ people going and would be a force to be reckoned with.

This is so geeky....

I have a (2 actually) Nerf Stampede's that I have upgraded some of the components to. Details can be found here. I have increased the range and ROF significantly.

I also have a Nerf Barricade which I plan to mod as a in base sidearm. I have purchased batteries which increase the range and plan on making some other mods to the trigger assembly.

Both of them will be repainted.

Many people mod Nerf and use them like we do Airsoft....there's a crap ton you can do to them.

I will be cleaning, lubing, and testing my two SAAs and my mares leg in the coming weeks. I do plan to bring one quasi-modern AEG in case things get "skirmishy" but I plan to dress and arm for the roll.

As a side note, at least as of last year, no thrown melee weapons were allowed. Also, melee weapons do not block stunner blast (NERF dart) hits.

You do not sign up for teams, only for the event itself. Teams are not set like other games. Some factions and their players will be organized in advance, but most of that is done by the players themselves. On top that, your personal allegiance as the weekend goes by can be... fluid. Strike out on your own, start your own faction, backstab your employer; you can choose to do any or all of these things. You might also elect to try joining another faction if your character dies. No one says that faction has to let you join though. This is not a typical airsoft event with rigidly defined teams. Think of it more like a microcosm. Anything goes.*

*Obviously all event rules must be followed. Individual factions may try to enforce their own in-game laws, like Alliance firearm permits, but you are free to ignore those if you choose, just as you could in real life.

Hey everyone, myself and 5 others are down for this event. Rekkon you seem to be the expert so I direct this at you... If we arrive and attempt to do our own thing and just suck incredibly at the LARP aspect is it possible to just roll into a group and get trigger time? (I dont mean that in a way that degrades the game experience.) Also for a first time Freefall player would you recommend being a small group or finding a larger outfit (such as the MAA) to move with?
