airsoft club

Post by trooper2000 » Wed Mar 15, 2017 12:47 am

Hey, a friend and I are planning to start an airsoft club within the next year or so. So I was researching age and location requirements and found this site. So I decided I might as well ask here. Are there any specific rules to my age or other specifics to make an airsoft club? Or team if it becomes that. ( I Bet this is a dumb question)
Generic information about me: I am 16 and a half, I've been into airsoft since I was twelve. And I live near Albert lea.
Also if there are other airsoft clubs that are lead by people under 18, please say hello! I'm kind of curious on how many (If any, Again I'm asking if its possible to Make an airsoft club if your under 18) people like me there are. (Again, TRYING to make! Not Shure of legal)

With curiosity and compassion for the sport,

post script! Again, if your under 18 and have a airsoft club/team(If it is apparently legal) say hello! if its legal I'm probably far form the first!

To my knowledge there are no state legal requirements to start an amateur club for a hobby. If you wanted to register the name of the club, create a trademark, or make the club officially recognized in some form or fashion by the state you may need to complete some documentation to be submitted to the state and that would most likely require an adult to sign (and possibly have notarized).

It sounds like you are more-or-less trying to give a name to a group of guy/gals that enjoy playing airsoft, and for that purpose you are probably safe to just give yourselves a name and play.

thanks Touchette, that helped me a lot. Yeah it would be an amateur club, I hope I can make it and keep it running.

Most people don't operate "clubs" per-se, but instead operate out of loosely organized "teams"

these are very informal and require very little to setup (mostly just a group of people, a name, and possibly some sort of social media "face")
Task Force Echelon - Click and like our facebook page!
OP IRENE X - T.F. Ranger - Charlie Company 1-3 Medic
OP IRENE XI - Somali Freedom Fighters 3-1 Medic
TCA Giant Airsoft Game I & II - Midwest Alliance General
