Re: Finally some good rep. for airsoft... FROM THE NEWS?!?!?

Airsoft is a legitamet sport. It is something I am proud to participate in and encourage others to do so. Any time anything is in the spotlight, it runs the risk of being the target of attack by those who only criticize. IMHO; I am glad to see this positive publicity. I plan to hold my head high and...

Re: Finally some good rep. for airsoft... FROM THE NEWS?!?!?

In current media any firearm is usually portrayed negatively. Commonly it is assumed to have an evil conotation. IMHO if we do not actively promote gun rights and the sport of airsoft we run the risk of the do gooders taking it away and making it illegal. Word of mouth and our individual examples an...

This is a great topic for a paper. I think it is common for any serious enthusiast of aisoft to go through a process of aquisition and trial to determine which weapon and gear is right for them. This is personal and unique to each individual and is exemplified by the number of weapons resold and tra...

Fantastic! This answers, with humor and down to earth fun the question of "what is airsoft?". I am going to forward this to everyone I know that can appreciate and get it. I would hope the next step would be to invite a member of the local media to an MAA event for more of the same and spread the wo...

Re: The Definitive Eye Protection Thread

Bunny,
My understanding is that some manufacturers have approved impact ratings on lenses but their frames do not pass the impact rating.
This is probably of a lesser concern for airsoft, and a greater concern for other applications.

Eotech has pioneered a similar setup with a magnifyer behind the red dot for both CQB and medium range targets.
The magnifyer on the eotech swings away and is on quick release, but works the same.
