Re: King arms thompson help

Next i would ensure the nozzle is moving with each shot. Look in the feeding tube of the hop up and watch the nozzle as you fire. If it isn't moving every time then you need to look at the tappet plate. To do this you will need to open the gearbox, so if you aren't comfortable opening the gearbox yo...

Re: King arms thompson help

Start with the easy things. Inspect the bucking first. This can cause the feeding issues you describe, combined with the low quality bbs you are using, this is a very likely cause. If its not torn/worn then look at the end of the nozzle, see if it is bent or deformed. This happens when poor quality ...

I have one of these. It's an aps guardian rail. They come in 3 lengths, black or tan, and are very modular. Very well made, fit tight with no wobble, clean finishing details. Its all personal preference for external looks, so get what you like the looks of. http://cdn1.evike.com/images/large/ris-ee0...

If removing one bearing doesn't allow enough space (assuming you have one on the spring guide and one on the piston head) the next step is to short stroke the gears/piston by one tooth. This will drop the fps potential a little, but lower fps is better than a gun that isn't firing at all. IF you dec...

Re: Painting an airsoft gun without spray paint?

What I would do is use an airbrush in a small paint booth you can build yourself. Air brushes don't give off the large amounts of overspray that spraypaint does, and when combined with a furnace filter/fan/carboard box diy paint booth, nobody will complain about the smell or any other issues you mig...

I recommend not going high speed motor, and instead using a high torque and dropping in high speed gears. For instance 13:1s and a high torque motor work beautifully in my DMR to give quick trigger response.

FPS has less of an effect on range than you would think. The big factors are inner barrel smoothness and hop up tuning. I've seen guns shooting under 350 fps reach out past 200 feet without issue. I recommend polishing your stock brass barrel or upgrading to a prommy or better barrel. Then look into...
