I have three of them, and honestly all three of them worked fine for years. No, I couldn't drop an M130 into them and strap an 11.1v LiPo on it and call it golden like some other high end brands out there but that doesn't make them 'bad' to me, it just means they were designed for a specific purpose...

I know that JG's HK416 stock takes up to a 9.6v split design in a 3x2x3 cell setup using large cells and it's a crane stock which is a nice difference from a full stock.

Mine aren't the sexiest beasts out there, but I like them for what they do. Well I meant the backup AEG being something small, like an MP5k or P90. I have run with a G36E and P90 before and it wasn't bulky at all. It's just, the hard part is finding a place to securely attach it where you can quickly access it is the hard part.

The thing to consider, a GBB pistol magazine is expensive, and has maybe 25 rounds in it, so it's going to run out quickly, or you will have to drain your wallet quickly to make sure you have enough magazines to last...

Do you have any suggestions? I was looking at getting some custom cut gears. They're over $100 but iirc the guy who makes them insures them for life, and they apparently have yet to have any break under normal use. It'd be expensive, but I wouldn't mind having a pair of gears that never failed on me.

He wanted HT gears to pull the spring, and figured a HT motor would be suffice since his last set of standard torque gears gave out under the spring and had money left over to get a nicer motor. I heard the Element High Torque motor was quite the beast; my friend is pulling an M130-M140 at 18+ RPS with a 300% torque gearset and 11.1v LiPo. However, Guges' guide is rather extensive and much, much more detailed than any info I can give :lol:

Because CYMA only makes AKs, which will make sure he doesn't buy a M4. Also, their extrenals are just fine. If your going into the 10.8V range with NIMH, just switch over to LiPO, smaller, cheaper and a higher efficiency.
