For your gun, I would look at what MasterTCAA has available. He is an Airsmith located in Ostego, Mn and has a lot of guns that he has already gone through for quality. He usually has guns available in a range of types and price range. Plus you get to feel and shoot the gun before making a purchase....

The motor in a weed wacker is different than one in a treadmill. The motor in a treadmill is generally set up for high torque and low revolutions, while the weed wacker motor is set up for low torque and high revolutions. Might be a consideration for your project.

Just purchased an MK16 (SCAR-L) myself. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet (did chrono it at home - about 347 fps). The one thing you should notice by the pics is the MK16 SCAR-L uses M4/M16 mags, where as the MK17 SCAR-H uses expensive proprietary mags.

Yup, I will vouch for the effectiveness of the ESS Turbofans. I got a pair from DT in January and have not had any issues with fogging or noise.

I use mink oil on most leather. I also use Camp Dry (I think it's a Coleman product) on suede leather, canvas, and nylon for waterproofing. You usually have to apply it at least once per year.

Don't know what CC sells their multicam for but Downtown Tactical has Multicam for $39.99 and BDU.com has them for $35.99 each for the tops and bottoms. I would go with DT since he is local and has great service.
